Originally from Chelford I moved to Holmes Chapel after marrying Barbara more than 40 years ago.
We have two grown up children who both attended the local schools and joined the various social groups within the village one of which was scouting which I became involved in and ended up being Group Scout Leader in Holmes Chapel.
I served on St Luke's Church Parochial Council for twenty five years the later ten years I served as a Church Warden. I stood down from this position in May 2008.
I am now a member of Church Hulme Probus and I am also am member of the Royal British Legion.
During my years on the Parish Council I have been involved in:
· The Garden Competitions.
· Retaining the telephone boxes for use by Defibrillators
· Refurbishing of Middlewich Road and Elm Drive Play Areas
· Obtaining a Skate Park for Holmes Chapel
· Establishing a Youth Council for Holmes Chapel.
I also represent the Parish Council on the Crewe- Manchester Community Rail Partnership along with the volunteers and Friends Of Holmes Chapel Railway Station. I have also liaised with the schools for the Parish Council.
As I have again been elected to serve on Holmes Chapel Parish Council I shall continue to do my very best for the residents of Holmes Chapel.
